Parents often reach out to eating disorder professionals with concerns about their child's eating that don't meet the criteria for a diagnosable eating disorder. However, we often hear from eating disorder professionals that they are not confident working with these children and/or their families. Meet the speakers

Elizabeth Davenport, MPH, RD, LD, CEDS

Elizabeth Davenport, MPH, RD, LD, CEDS is a Registered Dietitian and the owner of Davenport Nutrition Group, a group practice in the Washington, DC metro area specializing in eating disorders and pediatric nutrition/family feeding. She is also the co-creator of Sunny Side Up Nutrition, a blog and podcast dedicated to diet-free parenting and raising kids with a healthy relationship with food.

Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from The Ohio State University and her Master of Public Health in Nutrition from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Elizabeth is also a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp). Before becoming a registered dietitian, Elizabeth spent nearly a decade cooking and baking professionally. It’s an experience that continues to shape her approach to nutrition care. She is passionate about supporting individuals and families in building diet-free homes.

Anna Lutz is a Registered Dietitian with Lutz, Alexander & Associates Nutrition Therapy, a NC-based nutrition private practice. Anna specializes in eating disorders and pediatric/family nutrition. Anna received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Duke University and Master of Public Health in Nutrition from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) and an Approved Consultant, both through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp). Previously, she worked at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC and Duke University Student Health, treating individuals with eating disorders. Anna delivers workshops and presentations on eating disorders, weight-inclusive healthcare, and childhood feeding. She also writes and talks about nutrition and family feeding, free of diet culture, on her blog, Sunny Side Up Nutrition, and her podcast, Sunny Side Up Nutrition Podcast.
