Aims Babich (they/them) is a consultant, trainer, and speaker on sex and labor trafficking, who approaches their work from a sex-work affirming and anti-oppressive lens. They have worked with a wide range of organizations worldwide — such as You Are More Than, United Way, Freedom Fund, The American Bar Association, and many more — to provide customized trainings, consultation, and strategic planning. Aims has engaged in empowering survivor leaders through mentorship at You Are More Than, facilitation in Survivor Alliance’s Leadership Academy, and has trained survivors to become trainers and entrepreneurs themselves. They have served on number state and national task forces and advisory councils, striving to bring voice to those underrepresented in traditional anti-trafficking spaces.
In addition, Aims currently works in the mental health and alternative healthcare fields, with an emphasis on supporting LGBQ+/TGNCI communities, individuals living with eating disorders and mental health struggles, and survivors of violence. Babich also owns a small business where they practice massage therapy, somatic bodywork, and coaching.
Human Trafficking and Religious Trauma
This webinar will review human trafficking terminology, possible signs someone is experiencing exploitation, mandatory reporting, the intersection of eating disorders in survivors of exploitation and complex trauma. Participants will explore best practices and additional resources on supporting trafficking survivors.
